IG-01 suits the most demanding requirements with the utmost respect for the environment using ARGON as the extinguishing agent. The variety of inert agents in our inert gas systems range provides a greater variety of discharge characteristics for the most efficient protection.

Thanks to its high density, IG-01 extinguishing agent quickly concentrates in the lower part of the room. It is highly recommended for class A, B and C hazards, in rooms with raised floors. The system works by totally flooding the room, ensuring a complete discharge in less than one minute.

The Gielle team, in compliance with the current regulations for the use of these systems, will study the most suitable design for each hazard depending on the specific needs. With the aid of the latest calculation technology (we have specific VdS certified software) together with our professional experience, Gielle guarantees customized protection regardless of the characteristics of the enclosure.

Gielle has two variants depending on the storage pressure: IG-01 at 200 bar and IG-01 at 300 bar, therefore the quantity of extinguishing agent can be adapted to the available storage space for the cylinders. The system is optimized for the worst case conditions, all components are certified to ensure the strictest performance. These are necessary for the storage, detection, release and discharge of the agent at the right moment.

About IG 01 extinguishing agent
Argon is an inert gas which is extracted from the atmosphere. As is completely natural, it is valued as an environmentally friendly extinguishing agent. It is colorless, odorless, tasteless and chemically neutral, making it suitable for occupied areas.

As no blending is required for this extinguishing gas, refills are much simpler and can be carried out anywhere in the world.

This gas extinguishes the fire by reducing the oxygen concentration, however at concentrations which are suitable for occupied areas. It is thus possible to protect hazards when there may be people in the enclosure at the time of the fire, ensuring their safe evacuation,in terms of: the level of oxygen in the room, the visibility required for the evacuation of personnel, and the absence of chemicals in the discharge.

It is harmless to humans since it is not toxic and does not generate decomposition products (which are harmful to people and equipment). It is a clean agent since it does not leave any residue after discharge. In addition, it is electrically non-conductive and non-corrosive, thus protecting electronic equipment without damaging them.

As a result, during the past sixty years, we have protected virtually every type of “Business/Process Critical Area” on land, at sea and in the harshest of environments imaginable.

Our continued success is reflected by the large number of global partnerships we maintain with some of the world’s top companies within the industrial, commercial, marine, oil & gas and power generation market sectors.

Inert Gas IG-01 is a clean agent fire extinguishing system using an inert gas (IG-01) consisting of 100% Argon and is used in total flooding systems. Inert Gas has become widely accepted as the best performing, cost effective, and environmentally friendly inert gas fire extinguishing agent, offering extended hold times and great flexibility in design. The patented pressure regulating discharge valve used in the Inert Gas system utilises a superior valve design to automatically regulate the pressure of the extinguishant at discharge, providing an ideal discharge pressure and maintaining a constant flow rate throughout the discharge.

Economical installation costs

Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP)
We simply borrow Nitrogen and Argon from nature. When released, they automatically return to their natural place in the environment.

Zero Global Warming Potential (GWP)
Nitrogen and Argon have no atmospheric lifetime and zero GWP, so they pose no risk to the environment.

Weight Similar To Air
The weight of inert gas agents corresponds closely to that of normal air and will evacuate a protected area slower than halocarbon agents after a discharge.

No Combustion By-Products
Inert gasses do not decompose into toxic or corrosive elements in a fire, making it a safe choice for people and assets.

No Fogging
inert gas systems is ideal for occupied spaces because escape routes remain visible during, and after a discharge.

No Residue
That means no damage to your equipment and no clean up required

Electrically Non-conductive
It is electrically non-conductive and is therefore highly recommended for protecting electrical and electronic materials.

Minimal Thermal Shock
When discharged, inert gasses cause the least amount of thermal shock (sudden temperature drop), compared to other clean agents.
